My inspiration was Ignatius' comforter, shown here. That Martha Stewart! Ignatius had bugged me for a Bed-in-a-Bag for months for his loft bed. When we finally went, we saw this pattern, which I found to be awesome. At KMart! Unbelievable. I loved this for inspiration because of the many color choices and it was like one big piece of DSP.
I knew right away I wanted to use the Blue Bayou Prints DSP with the paisley print. I also knew I wanted a mixture of browns. After that, experimentation began. I had a cute card started with rub-ons and primas (there are tiny flower-like designs in his comforter), but I cut that card down to almost nothing trying to fix some boo-boos. This card flowed "like buttah." When I found the bling to go with it, I knew it was going to be good.
