Sending Our Love to a Fellow Crafter

Hello there!  Glad you hopped on over to my little ol' blog!  For those starting here, welcome to the Caring for the Cox Family Blog Hop.  Several of us ladies decided to show our love and support for our crafting buddy, Ann Cox, by participating in a blog hop that expresses cards of encouragement.

Recently, Ann's husband, Kevin, at the age of 41, endured a triple bypass.  Added to that surgery was the stress of his kidney.  He donated a kidney to his father, and the kidney Kevin has left is losing function.  So, his surgery was quite risky, but he endured on the wings of eagles and the prayers of warriors.  Kevin now faces recovery.  Ann is a fellow teacher who taught English to my own son for a few years in high school.  Kevin and she have a gorgeous toddler, Liam.  Kevin was Liam's caregiver.  Now, Kevin must focus on recovery.  They have started Liam in child care for the first time in his little life.  That, coupled with the bills that are now rolling in, called some of us to action.

The fabulous Karen Kelly started a GoFundMe page through which we have been accumulating an account that Ann can use as needed.  While our blog hop has FABULOUS prizes, we would also like to ask you for two things: 1. prayers for the Cox family, and 2. if possible, a donation to the GoFundMe fundraiser.

My card was definitely created with Ann in mind.  Clean and simple all the way!  White and black on kraft with some embossing.  I used Simon Says Stamp's Hand Lettered Encouragement set for the sentiment.  I stamped with VersaMark and embossed with Stampin' Up! white embossing powder.  The heart stickers are from Starfoam.  The heart embossing folder is from The Paper Studio.  I love this sentiment, and it suits Ann perfectly.  Click on the photo to see more detail.

It would not be a blog hop without fabulous prizes, right?  Please visit these vendors and/or give them a message of appreciation for their support.

What a beautiful card with those embossed hearts and that encouraging sentiment.
May the Lord bless and keep the Cox family;
May the Lord make His face shine on the Cox family and be gracious to them;
